One more thing, and then I'm taking a nap.
'Trauma' could be shot in arm for S.F. economy - Meredith May for SF Chronicle
It was an MVA on the Embarcadero. Motorcycle versus auto. During the morning commute, no less. A jogger was first to reach the motorcyclist, who was sprawled out on the street. Pulling back the visor of his helmet, she saw that his eyeballs had bugged out with the force of the impact. It was only her. She had to make a quick decision. Marisa Benez put her thumbs on his eyeballs and pushed them back in. "I gotta tell ya mister, that was nasty!" she said.
"CUT!" yelled Jeffrey Reiner, director of "Trauma," an NBC series about a San Francisco paramedics crew that premieres today.
"Look longer at his eyes, then push them back in with more confidence," Reiner said.
Look, I'm glad SF gets a boost to the economy and everything, but having just cleared up this misconception with my neighbor I'm ... I ...hate television.

We all know that if we encounter someone with their eyeballs hanging out that we don't push them back in, right? Right?
Tell them not to move and to keep their eyes still. Call 911.
That's all you need to do other than remaining calm and waiting for the medics. If you know first aid or pre-hospital care, go for what you know (covering it with a paper cup, if you know how, and elevating the legs and all that). If you're a lay person, it's a good time to just keep them still and calm.
I realize it's a less likely scenario, and also that's exactly why we mostly don't know what to do when it happens.
Jesus.
