- Really though, when I walked out of that final on Wednesday I felt *so much* relief. I have been grinding for a while, and I positively basked in relief to not have anything to do for two whole days, because it's been about six months since that's been true. And I got an A. I know this. I know it like I know bacteria lives on integument, eats protein and shits B.O.--I know. In this particular regard, I own.
- So, of course, I walked out of the room and was like, BLAM, "I'm gonna quit smoking. Right now." I have had long periods of quit, but I've been at four-ish a day for the past 15 months, while having quit for three days here and there in the interim. I'm on Day 4 now, and it's going to be okay. The main thing is making sure to be careful around my neighbor who smokes. Other than that if I just go from gum to toothpicks to Nux Vomica, I hope to be done with that particular bit of tom-foolery, because it's embarrassing and dangerous. I'm not going to be one of those people outside the hospital in scrubs smoking. I mean, famous last words, right? But I need to establish that intention. I've got pictures of cancerous lungs in my car, home, office, and wall. Enough is enough.
- I have created a alternate timeline on Twitter in which the life of John Connor (as told by his father, Kyle) plays out less L.A. and more Bay-A. They still run from killer robots, but John has lots of Beyonce and Ne-Yo CD's (and little sugar in his step), and his father is so proud. I think it will improve the story dramatically if John is a little sweet. Really, it's better this way.
- I'm actually sort of getting in touch with friends and stuff which is so cool. I am sorry rednfiery that I missed your invite to Deathmarch, but I lift my whiskey sour to you.
- Then we had dim sum Sunday morning with
wild_irises,
pokershaman ,
pantryslut ,
imnotandrei , imnotandrei's ma and lil' nerds in training in tow. It was pretty much a good time, quite relaxed. I was feeling a little quiet and sleepy, and then it got loud in there, so we left and I've been looking at YouTube and West Wing ever since.
