I would prefer to not poison the lil' sucker and have it stinkin up the place when its belly explodes. Suggestions? All natural mice deterrents? Live traps?

We're having the same problem. They had no interest in the live traps. I resorted to poison, much as it made me cry, and still, we have a mouse. Not sure if he's dragging the poison back to his house to poison HIS pests, or what. *sigh* Or (eep!) maybe we have LOTS of mice!

I hear that the only real solution is to get cats, but James is allergic.

Hmmm...that could be, but I doubt it. There are several cats who hover around, and I feel like they scared him in long ago. Plus, he's big--he's been eating well for a long time.

The prep outside is looking so grand, btw. It's exciting every time I see it.
